Hi! I'm Cher Megasko, the founder and owner of EcoCher. My interest in medicinal plants goes back to my childhood, when my mother, who was Appalachian, used a variety of native plants in tinctures, poultices, and salves to treat my family and help keep us healthy. She passed a lot of her herbal knowledge down to me, and sparked an interest and curiosity that motivated me to keep educating myself over the next several years. That education culminated in me earning my Certificate in Medicinal Plants from Cornell University in 2024.

Unfortunately, modern medical science has been reluctant to fund research and testing in the area of traditional medicines, and as a result, few herbal products have been approved or endorsed by the FDA. So, as you browse this site reviewing the formulations I am offering, please keep in mind that they have not been federally approved, and should never be used without your doctor's knowledge and approval. Although I have a lot of knowledge in the area of traditional medicine, I am not a doctor, and nothing within these pages should be construed as medical advice.
